Castles and Clans Art
Event in Scotland
October 29th - November 2nd, 2007
Loch Vale Fine Art of Estes Park, Colorado, will sponsor an art event,
Castles and Clans, in Scotland, October 29th-November 2nd, 2007 during which
a group of acclaimed American artists, along with English and Scottish
Artists, will spend a week visiting the Highlands of Scotland while staying
at the Historic Brodie Castle.
The goal of the event is to create a unique cultural experience in
Scotland for group of prominent American painters. Loch Vale Fine Art will
hold an exhibition and sale of paintings produced during the event at its
annual Castles and Clans show held December 5th through February 18th.
The participating artists will be announced soon and include invited
guests from throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. The
artists are a diverse group of professional painters who are well-known both
nationally and internationally.
Brodie Castle was mostly built in 15th and 16th centuries, although some
parts date back to the 12th century. The property was owned by the Brodies
from from 1160, however just recently passed to the National Trust of
Scotland in 1980. The castle is located in the romantic Highlands of
Scotland. The castle is known for its fine library, extensive plaster work,
and important art collection.
The Castle and Clans exhibition and sale at Loch Vale Fine Art takes
place at the gallery in Estes Park, Colorado, December 5, 2007 and remains
on view through February 18th, 2008.
Loch Vale Fine Art is a full-service art gallery exhibiting an array of
