William Wallace Monument

The William Wallace Monument commemorates Sir William Wallace, the 13th century Scottish hero.  The monument stands on the summit of Abbey Craig, located near Stirling Castle.  The structure was completed in 1869 and is open to the public.  A spiral staircase (over two-hundred steps) allows access to the top and grants incredible views.  The painting depicts 2006.
