ROSSLYN CHAPEL
(The Collegiate Church of St. Matthew)
SCOTLAND

Rosslyn Chapel was founded in 1446 by Willliam Sinclair, 1st Earl of Caithness.  William hails from a noble family descended from Norman knights.  The purpose of the collegiate church was to celebrate the Divine office and to celebrate Holy Mass for all the faithful departed including the members of the Sinclair family.  The painting depicts 2004.
